P.O.W.E.R.F.U.L. Prayer Ministry - Pray On Without Ever Relenting Finding the Unmatched LORD - All that we do at WOL is undergirded by prayer. It is absolutely crucial to our very existence. We have powerful people of prayer who are praying for our church, our pastor, our community and our world. We also want to pray for you. If you have a need for prayer in your life send us an email with your request and we will add you to our list and begin to pray earnestly to God on your behalf.
Victorious Expressions - This is a group of liturgical dancers who worship and praise God in motion with a variety of dance styles and movements. If you enjoy articulating your faith through dance then Victorious Expressions is for you.
The S.E.T. Teen Ministry - Savior's Extreme Team - The S.E.T. is for persons age 13-21 who are looking for a teen ministry that goes beyond meeting for mundane and monotonous ministry. This group seeks to impact the lives of others by expressing their faith in uncommon and unconventional but effective means. The days of simply having meetings in our church buildings are over. It's time for us to be on the move. If you and/or your teen want to become active and make a big splash for God, make sure you - GET TO THE S.E.T.!
The 24/7 Middle School Ministry - 24/7 is for students age 8-12. All of our ministries are Bible based and this one is no different. Children at this age are very curious and have questions. In this group we guide the students as they search the scriptures for the answers to these questions that pertain to their lives. If our students have these questions there are others who have them as well. We will take the answers to these questions to other children, share with them what we know about Christ and glorify God all the more. In order to do this with maximum effect we must live godly lives 24/7.
The Lord's Little Lambs - This is a ministry for children who are walking through age seven. With regard to our chidren there is nothing more important than training. Bible stories, crafts and other fun activities will be part of this ministry but we also want to engage them with an eye toward the future. They will have an active part in the worship service as well as they develop skills necessary for them to continue the work of the Lord.
Word of Life Music Ministry, Minister of Music -
Higher Ground Gospel Choir -
Word of Life Youth Choir
Dragnet - This Drama Ministry will write, produce and present plays, skits and other dramatic presentations for special services throughtout the year. Drama can also be a powerful tool in the delivery of the gospel. This ministry will not be limited to Christmas and Easter. Nor will it be limited to our building as we will seek to share the gospel with all who have an ear to hear.
Fellowship Director -
Single Mother's Ministry - There are unique challenges that single mothers face that only single mothers understand including the dymanics of children, health, work, finances, childcare, social life, relationships and many others. This ministry will be designed by, led by, and a benfit to single mothers. By sharing experiences and effective solutions to common challenges, the group will be encouraged all the more to know that success and peace of mind are possible. If you have any ideas or would like to be part of this ministry please contact the church.
Single Father's Ministry - Many single fathers have similar needs and challenges as that of their female counterparts. The same dynamics that affect a single mother's life often impact a single father's life as well. And again by sharing experiences and successes single fathers can be a support system to each other without ever sacrificing their tightly guarded manhood. We invite you to become part of this needful ministry and be helped or help someone else reach the level of success you have attained.

Golden Grace Senior Ministry
Second Sunday Fellowship - One of the purposes of our church is Fellowship. It is as much a part of what we do as any other purpose. This is an opportunity for us to fellowship with one another outside the setting of a worship service simply to get to know each other and to enjoy each other's company. Each second Sunday of the month we will do fellowship of some sort whether it is going to a restaurant, having a picnic, playing a game, watching a movie etc. We will fellowship together. Our fellowship events will be posted on the upcoming events page every month.
WOL Athletics - We not only want to see lives spiritually fit. We also want to see lives physically fit. We will have opprtunities to maintain the health of our lives in a variety of ways. We will take walks, have a Kickball Team, Softball Team, Volleyball Team, Basketball Team and of course a Bowling Team and perhaps many others. These activities are not for our children only but for anyone who wants to participate.
Ministries Director - Sharon Cole
New Members Ministry - The purpose of this ministry is to assist new members in getting comfortable at the church and getting them connected with a ministry where they can serve. In our membership covenant we are open about the expectations of our members. One thing to which all members must agree is to be active in some ministry of the church. This ministry assists members in this area. If there is not a ministry existing in the church that you would like to see, bring the idea forward and if it fits into one of the purposes of the church we will make it happen.
The Usher Ministry - Lead Usher, Evangela Sheard - It is important to understand the value of having a friendly smile welcome people into the church. Long before a visitor enters the sanctuary for worship a lasting impression has been made. The greeters and ushers meet people, greet people and seat people. The church relies heavily on the ushers as their ministry is crucial to the vitality of the church. Given the size of our building we are looking for persons to step forward and become part of this important ministry of the church.
Missions and Outreach Director - Rita Howard
Letter Writing Ministry - If you know of someone who is sick, bereaved, in the hospital, incarcerated, in the military, in college or anyone who will be away for an extended period of time, send their contact information to us and a brief description of the situation and we will add to our writing list. Sometimes a couple lines of encouragement is all someone needs to get them through a difficult time.
Visitation Ministry - There are Christians and non-Christians who through no fault of their own can not get out to the church. We will make our selves available to visit people at home, in the hospital or wherever they may be confined. The ministry of visitation is a gift from God. If you have this gift and would like to exercise your gift this may be the ministry opportunity you have been seeking.
Teaching and Evangelism Director - Richard W. Hill
Sunday School -
Promises and Power Bible Study and Small Group Bible Study - There is nothing more beneficial to the Christian than the teaching of God's Word. Teaching is where we gain our strength because it is born out of understanding. The Bible is clear when it says that with all our getting we should get understanding. At WOL we put special emphasis on understanding. Not simply understanding the text but understanding what the Word has to say to the conditions and circumstances of our lives. Our Promises and Power Bible study is a corporate study where the body comes together to learn and understand. In the Small Group Bible Study the focus is narrowed toward the individual where the group engages in a more personal discussion. The groups may be based on similar challenges or stages in life or perhaps on family makeup or age. Our children are not left out in this format. There are studies and activities for the youngest child up through the teenage years. These studies will generally operate on an every other week rotation. If you are searching for the missing piece of the puzzle called understanding, we meet on Wednesdays at 6:30.
Evangelism Ministry - This is the ministry for people who enjoy sharing the gospel. We will share the gospel but we will do it in a more effective way. By meeting people where they are spiritually as opposed to telling them what they need to do we allow the individual to come to Christ at their own pace without feeling forced. Our evangelism will take us to places and have us to do things that might seem a bit non-traditional to some people but this is what God has called us to do.
Evangelism Sundays - Real ministry takes place outside the confines of the church building. On evangelism sundays those who are willing will go out into the street and minister to the people. There are some people who will never come into the church to hear the Word of God so we must take the Word to the people. On these sundays we will gather at the church and then after service go out and spread the Word. If you are looking for ministry beyond the walls, why don't you join us.
Vacation Bible School
H.E.A.T. - Higher Education Action Team - If knowledge is power then we need to get our people where the knowledge is. The knowledge is in college. This ministry is designed to help anyone of any age get through the entire application process for higher education. We will assist you with everything from the application to writing an essay to helping to find money for school. Just call the church to tap into this valuable community resource.
G.R.A.C.E. Program - Gainful Re-entry And Continuing Education - The Bible says in Galatians 6:1, "Brethren, even if anyone is caught in any trespass, you who are spiritual, restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; each one looking to yourself, so that you too will not be tempted." G.R.A.C.E. is a program for men, women and children who are being released from incarceration or who are looking to avoid incarceration. Our program is designed to assist people in the areas of basic literacy, G.E.D., job skills and training, resume writing, interview skills, proper business attire and proper business etiquitte, addictions, personal finances (savings and checking accounts, bills, budgeting), healthy relationships, personal integrity, self esteem and some G.R.A.C.E. participants may need to experience our parenting classes as well. After successful completion of all necessary courses the participant will receive a G.R.A.C.E. certificate and be sent to employers in the area for interviews and potential employment. We are continuing to develop relationships with employers in the area who understand the difficulties some G.R.A.C.E. participants face and are willing to give persons who have changed their lives another chance. If you know someone who could benefit from this program, have them contact the church so they can get the G.R.A.C.E. they deserve.
"If you want to experience the power of life, you must first experience the Word of Life."
